India Book of Records Celebrates BSFs Remarkable Feats

The Border Security Force (BSF) witnessed extraordinary feats by its personnel, setting new standards for excellence. Inspector Awadhesh Kumar Singh, from Gorakhpur, achieved two remarkable records. He rode a motorcycle on a 12 ft 10-inch pole, covering 174.1 km in 5 hours, 26 minutes, and 3 seconds. Teaming up with Constable Sudhakar, they covered 81.5 km riding atop a ladder on a motorcycle in 2 hours, 21 minutes, and 48 seconds.

Inspector Vishwajeet Bhatia, also from Gorakhpur, showcased incredible balance and control. He rode a Royal Enfield 350 CC motorcycle in a lying-down position, covering 70.2 km in 2 hours, 6 minutes, and 17 seconds. Additionally, he rode the same motorcycle while standing on a one-sided footrest, covering 100.9 km in 2 hours, 45 minutes, and 23 seconds.

These feats exemplify BSF’s dedication and expertise, honoring India’s border guardians. The India Book of Records proudly acknowledges these exceptional achievements, celebrating individuals and institutions dedicated to excellence. Witness these extraordinary moments of skill and determination.

These daredevils are a part of the Janbaaz motorcycle group of the BSF. The Janbaaz Motorcycle team, a Border Security Force initiative since 1990, features elite regiment members skilled in bike stunts. From 2000 to 2014, they performed remarkable stunts, earning 3 world records. In 2015, they impressed honourable PM Shri Narendra Modi and former US President Barack Obama, who showed a thumbs up right after their scintillating performance and even appreciated the Janbaaz team in American media. Inspector Awadhesh led them until 2018, setting 17 new world records.

In 2018, Inspector Awadhesh’s daring stunt drew attention, despite an accident. The Janbaaz team completed 50+ successful programs nationwide. In 2022, they celebrated India’s 75th Independence Year, led by Inspector Awadhesh and Inspector Vishwajeet, with support from BSF DG Shri Pankaj Kumar IPS. Their zeal attracted dignitaries like honourable Home Minister, Shri Amit Shah who appreciated these valiant bikers.

During this period, they aimed for world records to promote government social welfare initiatives. Two rallies took place in September 2022, one led by Inspector Vishwajeet and another by Inspector Awadhesh. The BSF and India Book of Records families worked together on various awareness initiatives since 2018. Current BSF DG Shri Nitin Agarwal IPS invited the India book of Records team and the Janbaaz team to his office and honored the Janbaaz team for their bravery and support. He has appreciated the daring stunts and their performance while extending all support required for their continued excellence.
