India is not lacking in talent. But unfortunately, talent is being exploited — and that’s why we must address a growing concern we call “The Talent Scam.”
Welcome to the India Book of Records, the only genuine national record-keeping organization that has been documenting India’s achievements for over two decades.
The Legacy of the India Book of Records
For the past 20 years, the India Book of Records has continuously published its annual edition — documenting extraordinary achievements from every corner of the country:
- Indian Army, Air Force, Navy
- Police & Administrative Departments
- Ministries, Corporates, Schools & Children
- Talented Individuals from All Walks of Life
Even during the COVID-19 pandemic, when the world came to a standstill, the publication continued — with the 2021 edition being one of the thickest volumes ever.
Compared to the Guinness World Records, which publishes around 700–800 records a year, the India Book of Records publishes 8,000–10,000 records annually — a true testament to the immense talent across India.

The Dark Side: Rise of Fake Record Books
India’s immense talent pool has attracted unethical operators. Fake record books have popped up across the country, exploiting people’s desire for recognition.
As per our investigation, over 150 fake record books are active in India.
They:
- Lure parents and children with false promises.
- Charge ₹5,000 or more for worthless certificates.
- Operate from homes with no real offices or infrastructure.
These fake certificates, when shared online, damage the credibility of even genuine awards and achievements.
Examples of Fake Record Scams
- Global Records and Research Foundation: Shut down in 2017 after legal action.
- Elite Book of Records: Recently taken down after complaints and police intervention.
How to Identify a Fake Record Book
- Ask for a verified office address.
- Request a live video call to see their workspace and team.
- Be cautious if they operate a 4-page website with no public team or contact info.
- Avoid any book that doesn’t provide full transparency or verified processes.
