The record for solving the maximum number of three and four digit addition sums using pen and paper was set by Veerasairam V. (born on April 26, 2015) of Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu. He wrote the correct answers of 100 addition sums (50 sums of three digits in 2 rows and 50 sums of four digits in 2 rows) on a sheet of paper in 16 minutes and 56 seconds, using a pen, at the age of 8 years, 4 months and 17 days, as confirmed on September 9, 2023.
