Conquering Roads and Records: Top 5 Motorcyclists of India Book of Records

Roads can be mapped, but extraordinary journeys are written through courage. Across India and beyond, motorcycles have carried dreams towards remarkable destinations. For these riders, every kilometre became a test of endurance and determination. Every sunrise brought another challenge, while every milestone promised another possibility. Their journeys transformed ordinary roads into extraordinary chapters of human achievement. India Book of Records celebrates five such motorcyclists with immense pride.

A motorcycle may be mechanical, but its journey can become deeply human. Behind every record lies preparation, sacrifice, patience, and countless unseen hours. The open road tests both physical stamina and the rider’s inner resolve. Weather changes, fatigue rises, and uncertainty can appear without warning. Still, these riders kept moving ahead because the destination carried deeper meaning.

Mandar Madhurkar Tamhankar: Riding Across the Australian Horizon

Some journeys test distance, while others challenge the imagination itself. Mandar Madhukar Tamhankar became the first individual to cover the maximum distance in a solo motorcycle expedition across Australia. Based in Australia, the Pune-born rider embarked from Sydney on August 21, 2022.

His motorcycle became a companion through changing roads, landscapes, weather, and endless horizons. He completed the expedition in New South Wales on September 12, 2022. In 28 days, he covered an astonishing 19, 650 kilometres across Australia. The expedition also carries an important message about responsible riding and road safety. Tamhankar undertook the journey to raise awareness about driving under speed limits. His records prove that distance becomes conquerable when purpose fuels every mile.

Sharaitans Mittal: Racing along India’s Coastal Edge

India’s coastline stretches like a magnificent ribbon beside the nation’s changing landscapes. Shraiyans Mittal followed that ribbon on an extraordinary solo motorcycle expedition. His journey began at Bakkhali, West Bengal, on March 30, 2026. He rode through numerous coastal destinations before reaching Gujarat’s Western shores.

His route included Digha, Puri, Vishakhaoatanam, Chennai, and Puducherry. He continued through Kanyakumari, Thiruvananthapuram, Panjim, Mumbai, Diu, and Dwarka. Finally, he reached Koteshwar after crossing Gandhidham in Gujarat. In just 6 days, 12 hours, and 50 minutes, he covered 6,616.6 kilometres. That’s how he became the fastest individual to complete a solo motorcycle expedition from the East Coast to the West Coast of India.

This remarkable coastal expedition established a new benchmark for solo motorcycle endurance. It also revealed how determination can connect India’s distant coastal worlds.

Sushil Kumar Nanda: A Pilgrimage Powered by Two Wheels

For some riders, the road becomes more than an adventure or personal achievement. Sushil Kumar Nanda turned his motorcycle expedition into a remarkable spiritual pilgrimage. He set a phenomenal record of covering the maximum distance by an individual in a solo motorcycle expedition to visit all Jyotirlingas and Char Dhams. From September 26 to October 18, 2025, he travelled across India’s sacred destinations. His ambitious journey covered all 12 Jyotirlingas and the Char Dhams. Over 23 days, his motorcycle odometer recorded an extraordinary 10, 055 kilometres.

His route embraced sacred places including Somnath, Kedarnath, Dwarka, Puri, and Rameshwaram. It also carried him through many other revered temples across the country. Every destination added a spiritual meaning to an already demanding physical journey. His achievement beautifully demonstrates how faith can strengthen endurance on difficult roads.

The Spirit Behind Every Record

These five journeys reveal different meanings hidden within motorcycle expeditions. One rider crossed a continent, while another traced India’s magnificent coastline. Another transformed sacred pilgrimage into an extraordinary test of endurance. A fourth shattered expectations while riding between India’s southern and northern extremes. The fifth conquered a historic triangle through speed, precision, and determination. Yet, their stories share one powerful thread: the refusal to surrender before distance. Their motorcycles carried more than riders; they carried dreams, discipline, courage, and purpose.

Roads often appear endless until someone dares to travel them. Records begin where ordinary journeys meet extraordinary commitment and preparation. These motorcyclists remind us that every destination starts with one brave decision. They also prove that limits often exist only until somebody challenges them. India Book of Records proudly honours these riders and their unforgettable journeys.
