Youngest to set up libraries
The record for the youngest to set up libraries was set by Akarshana Sathish (born on August 19, 2011) of Hyderabad, Telangana. She has set up a total of 10 libraries in multiple locations on her own by gathering books from apartments, neighbours, classmates, and relatives. The libraries set up at various locations such as 1036 books at MNJ Cancer Children’s Hospital, 625 books at the Sanath Nagar Police Station, 250 books at the Gayathri Nagar Association, 825 books at the Juvenile & Observation Home for Girls etc, at the age of 12 years, 6 months and 30 days, as confirmed on March 18, 2024.
