Youngest to raise funds for marginalized children
The record for being the youngest to raise the funds for the marginalized children was set by Devakshi Grace Mukherjee (born on September 18, 2009) from Mudhol, Karnataka. She signed an agreement with ‘Save the Children (Bal Raksha Bharat)’ and undertook the Sandakphu-Phalut Trek in the Himalayas at a height of 14,000 feet covering 84 kms uphill along with her father and completed the trek in 10 days (March 11, 2022 to March 20, 2022) at the age of 12 years, 6 months and 2 days, raised USD 10,650 (INR 8,30,000) as confirmed on November 30, 2023.
