The record for being the youngest powered paragliding pilot was set by Boobalan (born on October 7, 2008) of Tiruvallur, Tamil Nadu. He performed the solo powered paragliding flying in the foot launch category by carrying the back-pack motor, at the age of 13 years, 6 months and 8 days, as confirmed on April 21, 2022.
