Youngest deaf and dumb to receive national award
The record for being the youngest deaf and dumb to receive the national award was set by Vinayak Bahadur (born on November 1, 2005) of Meerut, Uttar Pradesh. He has received the prestigious ‘Pradhan Mantri Rashtriya Bal Puraskar 2020’ at the age of 14 years, 2 months and 21 days. He has also received the ‘Best Para Player Award’ from Sports Promotion Organization (2019), ‘Ajaat Shatru Award’ in National Award Category from Bihar Award Ceremony (2017) and ‘Certificate of Merit’ in National Category in Deaf Art Exhibition Expression (2017), as confirmed on June 18, 2021.
