The record for growing the tallest Chenopodium album (bathua plant) in the kitchen garden, without using any kind of fertilizer, was set by Ramesh Chandra Joshi (born on February 10, 1959) of Nainital, Uttarakhand. The height of the plant measures 219 inches, as verified by the District Horticulture Officer of Nainital, as confirmed on December 16, 2020.
