The record for making the smallest pencil using a sharpener was set by Ainaya Jain (born on August 20, 2016) of Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh. She made the smallest functional pencil (measuring 3 mm x 2.1 mm) by using a sharpener, at the age of 9 years, 6 months and 26 days, as confirmed on March 18, 2026.
