Smallest handwritten book in the possession of a temple – Shree Swaminarayan Mandir
The record for possessing the smallest handwritten book was set by Shree Swaminarayan Mandir (Loyadham) of Surendranagar, Gujarat. The handwritten ‘Shikshapatri’ scripture (measuring 1.5 cm x 1.5 cm), consisting of 76 pages composed in Sanskrit language and estimated to be around 199 years old, is preserved at the temple at Loyadham (under the leadership of His Divine Holiness Sadguru Shashtri Shri Ghanshyamprakashdasji Swami), as confirmed on April 7, 2025.
