The record for making the smallest Assamese traditional Japi hat was set by Pubali Deka (born on January 1, 2002) of Nalbari, Assam. She made the Japi hat (measuring 2.2 cm in diameter) using waste newspaper and fabric colours to make it attractive, as confirmed on October 30, 2021.
