The record for making the smallest traditional Assamese Japi hat was set by Hafija Begum (born on January 20, 2002) of Nalbari, Assam. She made the smallest Japi hat (measuring 5 mm) in diameter using waste paper and glue, as confirmed on February 2, 2022.
