The record for planting paddy while performing Karagam dance was set by Krishnaveni P. (born on May 29, 2005) of Ariyalur, Tamil Nadu. On January 20, 2021, she planted paddy in a water-filled farm and performed Karagam dance, while balancing three pots on her head. Being hearing-impaired, she did this activity for one hour, at the young age of 15 years, 7 months and 22 days, as confirmed on January 29, 2021.
