The record for being the oldest to scale Mt. Yunam and hoist the National Flag was set by Raman Chander Sood (born on August 4, 1952) of Palampur, Himachal Pradesh. He scaled the 6,111 m high Mt. Yunam and hoisted the Indian National Flag on July 2, 2022, at the age of 69 years, 10 months and 29 days, as confirmed on July 14, 2022.
