Oldest to climb Everest base camp
The record for being the oldest to climb Everest base camp was set by Niranjan Debnath (born on February 7, 1950) of Delhi. He started his trek on March 11 and reached the Mount Everest Base Camp located in Nepal (at an altitude of 5,364 metres) on March 18, 2023, under the guidance of a trekking guide, at the age of 73 years, 2 months and 1 day, as confirmed on April 8, 2023.
