Oldest to climb Everest Base Camp
The record for being the oldest to climb Everest Base Camp was set by Siva Prasada Rao Ginjupalli (born on July 27, 1942) of Guntur, Andhra Pradesh. He started his trek on September 8, 2023, and reached the Mount Everest Base Camp located in Nepal (at an altitude of 5,364 metres) on September 30, 2023, under the guidance of a trekking guide, at the age of 81 years, 2 months and 3 days, as confirmed on October 10, 2023.
