The record for carving out miniature tabla (a pair of twin hand drums) from pencil leads was set by Binu A. Prabhakaran (born on November 25, 1995) of Kottayam, Kerala. He carved out a pair of twin hand drums (each measuring 1 cm in length) from two different pencil leads using two pencils, a needle and a paper-cutter, as confirmed on January 2, 2021.
