The record for the ‘Maximum Students Chanted Shlokas of the Bhagavad Gita Chapter 1’ was set by G D Goenka, Hyderabad. A total of 633 students gathered at a single location and collectively chanted 35 shlokas from Chapter 1 of the Bhagavad Gita in 9 minutes and 12 seconds. The initiative aimed to promote awareness of India’s spiritual heritage, encourage students to learn and recite Sanskrit verses, and inculcate the Culture of India, as confirmed on September 2, 2026.
