The record for surgically removing the maximum number of stones from the bile duct of a patient was set by Dr. Hemant Jain (born on February 27, 1991) of Pali, Rajasthan. He removed 287 stones from the bile duct of a 46-year-old male patient, suffering from Cholelithiasis with Choledocholithiasis, at Ananta Institute of Medical Sciences and Research Centre, Rajsamand (Udaipur), using a hybrid surgical technique, combining laparoscopic and open methods, as confirmed on September 1, 2025.
