Maximum Sailum Style Surya Namaskar Performed at High Altitude by a Sexagenarian

The record for performing the maximum number of Sailum style Surya Namaskar was set by Acharya Raghu (born on January 4, 1962) of Bengaluru, Karnataka. On November 20, 2024, he performed a total of 333 Sailum style Surya Namaskar (Yaksha Pranam) at the Everest memorial at Thukla Pass, at an altitude of 15,846 feet / 4,830m, in 40 minutes. He dedicated it to over 300 mountaineers who lost their lives on Everest, at the age of 62 years, 10 months, and 16 days, as confirmed on February 25, 2025.
