Maximum riders participating in an expedition to Khardungla
The record for maximum riders participating in an expedition to Khardung La was set by THE TRICOLOR YATRA of New Delhi, India. A total of 136 riders, which included riders from the Indian Army as well, started on August 15, 2023 at 8.30 am from Leh, reaching Khardung La Pass and returned back to Leh on the same day at 3:00 PM . The riders were sent up in staggered groups to help in traffic management. The attempt was done to celebrate the 76th Independence Day as confirmed on August 15, 2023.
