Maximum Raksha Sutras Gifted to Armed Forces by an Organization
The record for the maximum number of Raksha Sutras gifted to the armed forces by an organization was set by the Women & Child Development (WCD), Ahmedabad, Gujarat. From July 5 to August 4, 2025, volunteers from the WCD Department, under the Government of Gujarat, collected a total of 3 lakh and 50 thousand Rakhis from across the state and sent them to the soldiers of the Indian Armed Forces on the occasion of Raksha Bandhan. This initiative was taken to express solidarity with and appreciation for the Indian Armed Forces, honoring their tribute and dedication to the nation, as confirmed on August 7, 2025
