The record for painting the maximum number of Pongamia Pinnata fruit pods to make the National Flag was set by Lishan Sahishnav Vinukonda (born on January 6, 2020) of Krishna, Andhra Pradesh. He painted a total number of 1, 211 Pongamia Pinnata fruit pods (also known as ‘Karanj’) in green, saffron and white, and arranged the fruit pods to make the National Flag (measuring 40 inches × 55 inches) in 5 hours and 45 minutes, at the age of 5 years, 6 months and 12 days, as confirmed on July 18, 2025.
