The record for ‘Maximum People Playing Tungbuk Lepcha Instrument at a Venue’ was set by Sikkimese Lepcha Cultural Association during the Yongthoom – Season 3 at Ridge Park, Gangtok, Sikkim. A total of 32 participants performed the traditional Tungbuk instrument, celebrating the state’s rich cultural heritage. The event aimed to revive and preserve this nearly forgotten indigenous musical instrument while inspiring younger generations to appreciate and carry forward Sikkim’s traditional folk music and cultural legacy, as confirmed on August 7, 2026.
