Maximum Patterns Weaved on a Saree
The record for weaving the maximum number of patterns on a saree was set by R Manjunath (born on May 5, 1971) of Kamakshipalya, Bengaluru. He hand-wove various patterns on a silk saree, showcasing vibrant colours and an expertly crafted 3D effect. A total of 27,063 buttas, featuring 93 buttas in each line, were featured throughout the saree, as confirmed on October 5, 2024.
