Maximum Participation in a Coastal Cyclothon by a Central Armed Police Force
The record for maximum participation in a Coastal Cyclothon by a Central Armed Police Force was set by the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) under the Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India. The Vande Mataram CISF Coastal Cyclothon–2026, held from January 28 to February 21, 2026, featured 130 cyclists, including 100 riders and 30 reserves, divided into two flanks, covering 6,533 km across nine States and two Union Territories. The Western Route began at Lakhpat Fort, Gujarat, and the Eastern Route at Bakkhali, West Bengal, both concluded at Kochi, Kerala. The initiative promoted coastal security awareness, national unity, and public participation in safeguarding India’s maritime borders, as confirmed on February 22, 2026.
