Maximum Participants Reading Across Different Venues
The record for the maximum number of participants reading together across multiple venues was set by Room to Read India, New Delhi, as part of the Read-a-thon conducted between September 1 and 8, 2025. The Read-a-thon saw a total of 3,920,248 participants across Delhi, Jharkhand, Karnataka, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Telangana and Uttar Pradesh. The initiative celebrated the joy of reading and promoted a culture of literacy nationwide, as confirmed on October 9, 2025.
