The record for carving out the maximum number of historical monuments with their respective states on pencil leads was set by Tapas Chakraborty (born on April 12, 1987) of Howrah, West Bengal. He carved out the names of 29 historical places of India with their respective states including Golden Temple-Punjab, Fatehpur Sikri-Uttar Pradesh, Gol Gumbaz-Karnataka, and Konark Temple-Odisha on 29 different pencil leads, as confirmed on June 16, 2022.
