Maximum Fire Pits Used to Perform Maha Shiv Yajna
The record for the maximum number of fire pits used to perform the Maha Shiv Yajna for Lord Mahadev was set by Jay Shankar Seva Mandal of Ahilya Nagar, Maharashtra, under the leadership of Shri Ashokdada Jadhav. A total of 2551 fire pits (Havan Kunds) were created, and 9,009 devotees performed the Maha Shiv Yajna at Shankar Maharaj Math, Akolner, Ahilya Nagar, Maharashtra, on the auspicious occasion of Mahashivratri, as confirmed on February 15, 2026.
