The record for spelling the maximum number of English words was set by R. Sanyukta (born on October 30, 2017) of Tiruvallur, Tamil Nadu. She recalled the spellings of 490 English words (ranging from 2 to 10 letters) in 6 minutes and 51 seconds, at the age of 7 years, 1 month and 6 days, as confirmed on December 5, 2024.
