The record for achieving the maximum number of educational degrees, diplomas and gold medals was set by Dr. Ranjit Das (born on February 6, 1964) of Howrah, West Bengal. He achieved 30 educational degrees (including an M.Phil.and a Ph.D.) and diplomas from IGNOU and other universities across India, alongwith 2 gold medals for his master degrees from IGNOU, as confirmed on May 27, 2026.
