The record for performing Silambam fire rope in all the directions for the maximum duration with blindfolded was set by S. Chandrasekar (born on September 12, 2003) of Chennai, Tamil Nadu. He performed with 2 different fire ropes continuously while standing on the plate for 15 minutes at the age of 18 years, 9 months and 24 days, as confirmed on July 16, 2022.
