The record for covering the maximum distance in a roundtrip expedition from Kashmir to Kanyakumari in an electric car was set by Awadhesh Kumar Srivastava (born on May 30, 1964) and of Dehradun, Uttarakhand, along with his wife Archana Srivastava (born on May 8, 1969) . They started their expedition on August 12, 2025, at 11 a.m. from Pacific Golf Estate in Dehradun, driving an MG Windsor EV Pro, travelled to Srinagar (Kashmir) and Kanyakumari, and returned to Dehradun on September 10, 2025, at 11.15 a.m., covering a total distance of 8,421 km in 29 days and 15 minutes. This expedition, titled ‘K2K EV Trip’, aimed to promote green mobility and sustainable travel across India, as confirmed on September 19, 2025.
