The record for inviting the maximum cultural teams to perform on Guru Purnima was set by Anga Upendra Varma (born on August 24, 1989) of Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh. Celebrating the festival of Guru Purnima, he invited 30 cultural teams belonging to different states to perform cultural dance, band and songs on different instruments during the worship on Guru Purnima at Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy Temple, Mangalagiri, Guntur district; as confirmed on July 3, 2023.
