The record for the maximum number of copies of a Malayalam book sold at a book festival was set by Julie Ganapathi (born on January 10, 1976) of Kollam, Kerala. A total number of 500 copies of a self-published Malayalam book of poems ‘Varanasiyile Mazha’ (authored by her and distributed by National Book Stall) were sold at a book festival from May 24, 2023 to May 28, 2023 (conducted by Library Council Kollam district, Government of Kerala), as confirmed on March 12, 2024.
