Longest White-Water Rafting Expedition in the Indus River
The record for the longest white-water rafting expedition in the Indus River was set by “The Himalayan Aqua Riders” of the 311 Medium Regiment, in collaboration with the Army Adventure Wing Rafting Team. They began their journey from Mudh at 8:30 am on July 21, 2024, and completed it at Nimu at 1:15 pm on July 24, 2024, covering a distance of 222.722 km in 23 hours, 30 minutes, and 49 seconds. Their route spanned Mudh, Chumathang, Likche, Karu, and Nimu, in bone chilling waters at altitudes ranging from 12,000 to 16,000 feet, as confirmed on July 25, 2024.
