Longest surviving woman on one lung
The record for being the longest surviving woman on one lung was set by Vijayaben Prahladbhai Patel (born on February 10, 1942) of Vadodara, Gujarat. On June 12, 1962 (at the age of 20 years), her left lung was removed due to fibrosis and she has been living with her right lung since the last 59 years, 2 months and 9 days and is quite healthy at the age of 79 years, 6 months and 11 days, as confirmed on August 21, 2021.
