The record for completing the longest expedition to Mount Everest from Agartala via Everest Base Camp was set by Aritra Roy (born on March 7, 1990) of West Tripura district, Tripura. He completed the longest expedition to Mount Everest in 2 months and 3 days, wherein he started from Agartala (India) on March 16, 2025, cycled 1,246.01 km and reached Phaplu (Nepal) on April 6, 2025. Thereafter, he scaled Mount Everest (8848.86 metres) via Everest Base Camp on May 19, 2025. On descending, he participated in the Tenzing Hillary Everest Marathon (42.195 km) on May 29, 2025, as confirmed on March 17, 2026.
