The record for making the lightest nanosatellite with wireless data transmission was set by Vennelakanti Sai Hemanth Kumar (born on November 25, 2002) of Chittoor, Andhra Pradesh studying in Hindustan Institute of Technology and Science, Tamil Nadu. He made the lightest satellite weighing 10.31 grams and data transmission tested up to the height of 40 metres. The dimension of the satellite is 25 x 25 x 25 mm and tested under the mentorship of Mr. G. Dinesh Kumar, Assistant Professor, as confirmed on September 16, 2022.
