Largest Quantity of Nachni Halwa Prepared in a Single Vessel
The record for preparing the largest quantity of Nachni (Finger Millet) halwa in a single vessel was set by the Agricultural Technology Management Agency (ATMA), Maharashtra. On February 8, 2026, under the guidance of Preeti Hiralkar, District Superintendent Agriculture Officer, Gadchiroli, Maharashtra, a total of 1,184.5 kg of halwa was continuously cooked in a single kadhai. This initiative promoted millet consumption, nutrition awareness, and Gadchiroli’s tribal food heritage, as confirmed on February 8, 2026.
