Largest Japi
The record for creating the ‘Largest Japi’ was set by The Assam Sahitya Sabha 77th Biennial Pathsala Conference, Bajali, Assam. The large Japi (diameter of 87 feet) covering a total area of 555 square meters was crafted from intricately woven bamboo, cane, and a large palm leaf. Japi serves as a protective headgear against the sun and rain and is also presented as a mark of honor, as confirmed on January 31, 2025.
