Largest Iron Scrap Pedestal Featuring a Telugu Word
The record for the largest iron scrap pedestal featuring a Telugu word was set by Kala Ratna awardee Katuri Venkateswara Rao and Katuri Ravi Chandra, Founders of Katuri Art Gallery. The pedestal stands 8 feet tall and 20 feet wide, weighing 1500 kg. The sculpture, featuring the Telugu word “Amaravathi,” is handcrafted using 100% recycled iron scrap. It was first exhibited during the Amaravathi re-launch program on May 2, 2025, and is currently on display at the Katuri Art Gallery, Tenali, Andhra Pradesh, as confirmed on June 9, 2025.
