The record for making the largest elephant caparison was set by Ajitha P. Narayanan Puncha (born on May 25, 1976) of Kannur, Kerala. A caparison is a golden head covering provided to elephants during temple festivals in Kerala. She made the largest elephant caparison (measuring 12.5 feet in length and 2.5 feet in width), using a resin sheet, red velvet cloth, small golden balls, plywood, woollen and cotton threads, as confirmed on February 23, 2026.
