The record for the largest district-level karate empowerment program for school girls was set by District Collector of Sangli, Maharashtra, under the guidance of Ashok Kakade. From July 8, 2025 till March 8, 2026, a total of 39,601 girls from Zilla Parishad schools in Sangli district were provided free karate training over nine months, and 15,508 girls were awarded Yellow Belts, enhancing self-confidence, physical fitness, and self-defense skills among rural participants, as confirmed on March 27, 2026.
