The record for conducting the largest cycling literacy campaign for women across multiple locations in India was set by Prakash P. Gopinath (born on May 27, 1965) of Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala,along with a co-trainer. Through the ‘SheCycling Initiative’, they collectively trained 700 women and girls in cycling using a structured 5-day practical training model. The campaign was conducted across 19 locations in Kerala, as well as in Srinagar and Leh (Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir) between October 2022 and October 2024.The initiative aims to empower women with independent mobility while promoting cycling as a sustainable, zero-carbon mode of transport, as confirmed on April 16, 2026.
