The record for creating the largest ‘best out of waste’ Lord Ganesha idol was set by G. Harish (born on November 27, 2004) of Thrissur, Kerala. He made a Lord Ganesha idol (measuring 17 inches in height and 9.8 inches in width) using waste newspaper, cardboard, fevicol and water-based paint. He started making these idols in 2018 and has made 18-20 idols till date. The idols are also bought by local people during the Ganesha Chaturthi festival, as confirmed on May 17, 2021.
