The Olympics, where competitors from all over the world gather to showcase their abilities and tenacity, stand as the pinnacle of international sportsmanship. India has demonstrated growth and resiliency throughout its Olympic adventure. Indian athletes made a lasting impression, broke records, and achieved unprecedented levels of distinction at the most recent 2024 Olympics. The spirit of the sport and the resilience to reach the pinnacle of success is what India Book of Records has in common with our beloved Indian athletes participating in the 2024 Paris Olympics.

The 2024 Olympics: A Year of Triumph
The 2024 Olympics were particularly special for India, as the country sent one of its largest contingents to date- 117, comprising athletes across multiple sports. India’s performance at the Paris Olympics ended with six medals, a tally one short of the record total from the Tokyo 2020.
Athletes from all around the world competed fiercely in the 2024 Olympics, with stars like PV Sindhu in badminton, Manu Bhaker in shooting, and Neeraj Chopra in javelin throw among many others. The 2020 Tokyo Olympics gold medallist Neeraj Chopra successfully defended his title and took home a silver medal, creating a new Olympic record and becoming the fifth Indian medallist to win two medals in the same games. Manu Bhaker became the 1st Indian woman to win shooting medal at the Olympics by winning a bronze. Manu Bhaker-Sarbjot Singh won India’s 1st shooting team medal at the summer games. Swapnil Kusale won the bronze medal in the men’s 50m rifle 3 positions on Aug 1, 2024. The Indian hockey teams, both men and women, showed amazing resilience, dedication and teamwork, with the men’s team securing a bronze medal after a hard-fought game. India Book of Records marvels at the astonishing grace and resilience that our champions have showcased.
