India Book of Record Achiever receives award from the President of India

It is indeed a matter of pride for India Book of Records when its achievers are recipients of the award from the highest authority of the nation. It was a proud moment for Mohammad Shams Aalam Shaikh, who received the award for being best sports person with disability by the President of India, at an annual awards ceremony. The award for the Para-swimmer Mohammad Shams Aalam Shaikh, came on the International Day of Persons with Disability at the Vigyan Bhawan on December 3, 2021. The achiever had already received accolades from India Book of Records for being the fastest paraplegic swimmer from Madhubani, Bihar. He covered 2km distance in 12 minutes & 23 seconds, as confirmed on February 4, 2020. He has 72% disability of paraplegia with neurogenic bladder & bowel. This special record holder is a source of inspiration not just for special persons but also those who wish to achieve something despite having tough challenges.
