Girl child with varied interests
Ameya Pratheesh, a little girl from Alappuzha city in Kerala has created a record by answering the maximum questions on the United Arab Emirates (UAE), for which she has got featured in the India Book of Records. Ameya has made this record of a General Knowledge at the age of 5 years, 2 months and 14 days. The little girl achieved this milestone by answering 39 questions within a minute. All the questions were related to the United Arab Emirates and Dubai. Ameya lives in Dubai these days with her parents and her two-year-old brother. Her father, Mr. Pratheesh Prasannan Puthenparampil, is a Technical Engineer and has been serving at the ALEC Construction Company in UAE for the past 12 years.
Ameya is a KG 2 student at Sharjah Indian School, Dubai. She enjoys dancing, playing piano and singing songs. She has no match in storytelling. Recently, she demonstrated one more ability. She stunned everyone by telling short stories starting with the letters A to Z within 20 minutes. She got inspiration from her teacher Ms. Seena Anil. To teach the children the alphabet, Ms. Seena narrated a story beginning with each letter. Ameya learned some stories in class and some by listening to YouTube videos. Ameya’s mother, Ms. Archana Pratheesh has studied up to M. Com and currently she stays at home to take care of her two children. All her time is spent in taking care of the kids and the household.
Pratheesh said that his daughter likes to listen to stories on YouTube. She memorizes stories by watching videos in English and Malayalam language. By the way, she is more interested in stories of historical importance. For the past one year she has been learning to play the piano. In outdoor activities, she enjoys skating very much. If she stays at home, she plays with the help of building blocks by making various shapes. She is attracted by the police uniform, so whenever she sees a police officer in the videos or TV, she says that she will become a police officer when she grows up.
The Pratheesh couple believes that all the children born in the world come with one or more qualities. Every child is unique. Now it depends on the teachers and parents to what extent they find out the talent of the children who naturally are keen and learn new things very fast. In such a situation, parents should be very attentive. They should create an environment in the house according to the interest of the child and allow the child to grow naturally. Parents should never impose their likes and dislikes on their children, the parents added.
